Give Items: Throughout the year SCB is actively collecting and distributing goods directly into the hands that need them. For the homeless community we look for hygiene products, socks, hats and gloves that we distribute as our Bags of Hope. Throughout the year we collect clothes and blankets with our Boxes of Hope. At Christmas we partner with local organizations who provide toys and gifts for young people. In August we need backpacks filled with school supplies to distribute at Day of Hope. During crisis we need large volumes of water, cereal bars and basic hygiene and household cleaning supplies to give to those in the community and the first responders.
Give Time & Talent: Volunteers are the heartbeat of Somebody Cares Baltimore. We partner with multiple organizations in and around the Baltimore area and are always looking for people to get involved with us. Sign up for our email newsletter or follow us on Facebook for up to date ways of giving your time & talent.
Our two big outreach events each year is the Day of Hope and the I Can Do It Music and Arts Camp. We’re always looking for volunteers and donated items specific to these events. Contact us if you have an interest in serving during one these events.
Throughout the year, disasters happen inevitably. We want to connect and mobilize responders in those times. You can stay connected and serve with Crisis Response.
Give Financially: Somebody Cares Baltimore works diligently not only to get as much out of every dollar donated but to multiply those dollars through hard work, matching grants, and Gifts In Kind. All donations are used to bring various groups together, provide quality experiences for our volunteers and most of all make sure that each and every individual we serve gets the maximum benefit. SCB relies 100% on the financial gifts of people who see the vision and want to help us make it a reality.
